The Opportunity

We are looking for a Depot Manager to lead our Reading depot, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site while delivering excellent customer service, strong financial performance, and an engaged, high-performing team.This is a hands-on leadership role offering constant learning, working within a committed, collaborative, and passionate team. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, time-constrained environment and will be focused on operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement.

The Role

As Depot Manager, you will have full responsibility for the performance and operation of the depot, including people, processes, health & safety, customer satisfaction, and commercial results.You will work closely with parts, service, and operational teams to ensure efficient workflows, effective stock control, and a consistently high standard of service delivery.

The Specifics

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Overall management of the Reading depot’s daily operations Leading, motivating, and developing depot staff
• Ensuring excellent customer service across all departments
• Overseeing parts operations, including front and rear counters where required
• Controlling stock movements, accuracy, and availability
• Ensuring compliance with health & safety and company policies
• Managing depot performance against KPIs and targets
• Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency
• Acting as a key point of contact between the depot and senior management
